Mise-en-scene video feedback and learner response

1) Type up your feedback from your teacher in full.

Movement and expression very good here - clearly inspired by the original. Nice recreation of the orange being thrown but a little obvious it was a ball

My main comment here would be on locations in the local area that might have been closer to the original (e.g. market stall for the original)

2) Use the feedback you've been given to write your own self-assessment of your video using WWW (What Went Well) and EBI (Even Better If...)

WWW: Good recreation to the original scene - props such as gloves and hoodie are accurate, also facial expressions and movement are accurate

EBI: Should've used a ball instead of an orange, use of locations could've been better and accurate to the original

3) Now reflect on your own work in more detail. How did your planning help clarify and develop your ideas?

We planned by watching back the reference scene and studying the facial expressions and seeing how this running style could be recreated. We also paid closed attention to scene changes and length

4) Thinking technically, how could you improve your work for future videos? (E.g. filming, editing, etc.)

Spend longer watching the reference scene and noticing the smaller details, doing more pre-planning such as finding locations, using camera gear such as a tripod and learning to use camera software better

5) Finally, what have you learned regarding the importance of mise-en-scene in film and television? Write a paragraph to answer this.

Mise-en-scene covers almost all aspects of the filming process and I think it should be heavily planned beforehand and given extra focus when filming and editing. Maintaining perfect use of mise-en-scene is very difficult and requires many attempts and practice to get right. If even one aspect is off, it could totally ruin a scene for example if the lighting is off it could make footage grainy and harder to see clearly
