Mise-en-scene video feedback and learner response

1) Type up your feedback from your teacher in full. Movement and expression very good here - clearly inspired by the original. Nice recreation of the orange being thrown but a little obvious it was a ball My main comment here would be on locations in the local area that might have been closer to the original (e.g. market stall for the original) 2) Use the feedback you've been given to write your own self-assessment of your video using WWW (What Went Well) and EBI (Even Better If...) WWW: Good recreation to the original scene - props such as gloves and hoodie are accurate, also facial expressions and movement are accurate EBI: Should've used a ball instead of an orange, use of locations could've been better and accurate to the original 3) Now reflect on your own work in more detail. How did your planning help clarify and develop your ideas? We planned by watching back the reference scene and studying the facial expressions and seeing how this running style could be recreated

Mise-en-scene

The actor is wearing clown makeup which could connote craziness and madness, which is reinforced by his bright coloured clothing. Bright colours have associations with the circus which links back to the actor's clown makeup. The actor is dancing in the middle of public as seen by the railings, stairs, the littered-street and the graffiti on the walls which also signals that the man has gone insane. Extract 1 The woman's home is dimly-lit to reinforce the film's theme of horror as darkness has connotations of the scary and unknown. The woman is wearing a casual outfit and is in her home. This signifies that scary things can happen to any ordinary person. There is a build-up of scary music to raise tension and keep the viewer on edge. The popcorn is used to add extra stakes and grip the viewer as they will want to know if it will explode or not. Extract 2 The man is training in different places to show his dedication and hard work. He is wearing sporty clothes and gym outfits
